There’s lots of Christmas excitement here at The Specky Wren as we hit December, starting with our lovely neighbours at The Open Market putting up their stunning tree. We’ve joined in with a new seasonal giant specs window display – a winter retro round style covered in individual silver, pink and blue metallic snowflakes, glowing in a chilly frosty blue. We’re in the process of extending the shop floor, so keep your eyes peeled for an exciting brand spanking new look Specky Wren in the New Year.
This month we’re also lucky enough to be taking part in The Open Markets Brighton open house trail. On our shop floor you’ll find beautiful ornate multi-coloured mosaic mirrors, astounding hand-craft stone sculptors, and spectacular individually crafted wood pieces created by Chris at Organic Art Brighton. Don’t miss our amazing (totally stops you in your tracks) beast of a wooden dragonfly flying just outside the shop!
If you find yourself in the middle of Churchill Square pulling your hair out due to shopping mayhem (haven’t we all!) don’t worry The Specky Wren has some cracking crimbo pressie ideas. We’ve brought back our amazing Specky Wren gift vouchers from last year with our very own Specky Wren currency! Bright bank notes with the Queen rocking a Mohawk, our gift notes can be purchased in £5.00, £10.00, £20.00 and £50.00 and used towards anything in the practice! Glasses are a true expression of a person’s style and personality, making them a brilliant and unique present for a loved one. We have great stocking filler ideas was well! Our beautiful hand crafted leather glasses cases are pure luxury in finish and feel, and available in a variety of colours. This month’s specs of the season are definitely our spectacular glitter adorned William Morris upswept and supra-styles. An effortlessly fun and gorgeous detail, the brushed glitter catches the light and oozes chic. Available in punchy purple, cheeky red and monochrome silver and black! William Morris have also used the colour of champagne gold to masterful effect in a upswept style, and a patterned yellow gold in a divine supra style. There’s no better time to embrace the playful glamour of glitter!
Brand new to the shop is the Plus+ range, full of refined and futuristic ultra-modern designs with sleek lines. Lightweight stainless-steel frames with carbon fibre detailing, in streamline shapes that totally embody the cool factor. You won’t quiet believe how weightless they feel on! Plus+ are also pushing the envelope on unique supra specs, and matt finish metal colours.
Don’t forget we’ll be open right up until December 23rd, and back after the Holidays on Monday the 29th. We never mind fixing those (often inevitable!)
